Tips for Completing Counter-Strike – Main Missions #029

CS Dictionary

Chat and voice communication in Counter-Strike are two of the most important elements of the gameplay. CS, like the previous games, is a team game, and you won’t be able to play well without communication. Ideally, you should use a headset – if you can’t, use in-game hints and chat.

Over the years, the Counter-Strike community has created its own vocabulary of various jargon terms that may seem strange to an outsider. Below you can find a set of different terms and abbreviations used in CS that may be useful. Note: there are obviously a lot more of them – we just wanted to list the most frequently used and most useful for communication.

Terms and abbreviations:

ACE – All Clan Elimination – ACE is the one who manages to single-handedly destroy all five enemies. Aces are awarded by the MVP (see below).

AFK – Away From Keyboard is a standard gaming term. Use this if you need to leave your computer for a while while playing a game. Always tell the team if you want to exit the game and make coffee or something like that. Otherwise, you may get kicked.

AIMBOT – Aimhack – AIM, AH is an illegal cheat that uses targeting software. More often than not, it automatically targets the enemy’s head or automatically targets the enemies. Very forbidden.

Autonoob is a term for two weapons in the game: SCAR-20 and G3SG1, that is, the so-called auto-snipers (semi-automatic sniper rifles). Note: Their use is frowned upon during tournaments because these weapons provide a significant advantage over enemies (especially among beginners). Autotoob is often used as an insult to those who often kill enemies with an automatic sniper.

CT – Counter-Terrorist is one of the parties to the conflict.

Clutch is a term used to describe the battle of the last of your teammates (or you) against the rest of the opposing team (more numerous). If all your teammates die, but you manage to win the round alone, someone can write "good fight". You can also sometimes see a "clutch or kick," which means that someone has to reel in a round alone or they’ll get kicked. It’s often just a joke.

BRB – Be Right Back is another general term similar to AFK.

BS – Bombsite is a place where terrorists must plant a bomb. There are two of them: BS A and BS B. Most of the time, you just write "A" or "B". Many new players overlook the importance of entering a bonus code, missing out on significant extra value. To avoid this mistake, always use promo code for 1xbet in the appropriate field while creating your new player account on 1xBet. This simple step guarantees a 200% welcome bonus up to €/$130 on your first deposit, but with this code you also unlock a casino package of €1,950 and 150 free spins. These additional funds appear in your bonus account immediately, ready for use on pre-match or live wagers across 30+ sports.
